The existing bathroom, outdated and non-functional for the homeowners needs, presented challenges with water damage with a tub and shower that was becoming impractical with time.

DESIGN

Meaghan's vision for a bright, mobility-friendly bathroom blossomed into an inspired design, cultivated through the attentive guidance of Project Manager Tony.

Together, we curated a palette of white and light greys, warmed with subtle tones to craft an inviting atmosphere. Modernity met a touch of tradition with materials boasting sleek lines and rounded edges. The natural wood cabinetry, topped with a pristine marble countertop, set a tone of elegance. These were strikingly contrasted by brushed nickel fixtures, lending a classic sophistication to the space.

 

A satin frameless glass panel was selected for divider without sacrificing light, complementing the large format tiles that promise ease of maintenance—each choice intentionally converging to create a sanctuary of brightness and comfort.

The build phase unfolded over two weeks, characterized by the diligent oversight of owner Tony Prough, who ensured every detail adhered to the highest standards. Daily visits and thorough logs kept the project on track, allowing for adjustments as needed, such as addressing unforeseen subfloor repairs.

We incorporated thoughtful ergonomics to ensure Meaghan’s comfort and accessibility:​

  • Elevated cabinetry to reduce bending

  • A chair-height toilet

  • A spacious walk-in shower to replace the dated tub/shower combo

 

These adjustments were functional and woven into the design to enhance the bathroom’s aesthetic. The result was a testament to Angry Cat Contracting’s commitment to marrying form with function.

ENJOY

Meaghan can step into a realm of tranquility: her bespoke walk-in shower, a haven within her home. The build phase’s conclusion marked the beginning of endless moments of peace, with every carefully chosen feature, from the raised cabinets to the chair-height toilet, enhancing her comfort.

Now, Meaghan’s daily routine is graced with elegance and ease, turning her bathroom into a space to rejuvenate and a sanctuary to relax.

What The Homeowner Had To Say About Working With Angry Cat

We hired Angry Cat Contracting LLC (Howell, MI) to fully remodel our master bathroom — demolition to studs, new plumbing and wiring, subfloor repair, exhaust fan, HVAC duct relocation, and tile installation. The project ran from August 25 to October 3, 2025, and the results are flawless.

Tony and Garret are exceptionally detail-oriented and professional. They handled enormous 48” x 24” tiles — difficult and heavy — and turned them into a stunning, cohesive design. They kept the job site immaculate, laying foam walkways through our home and vacuuming daily.

Their communication was phenomenal — responsive day and night, transparent about materials and labor costs, and always on top of updates. They finished on time and exactly on budget, which speaks volumes about their integrity and skill.

They were also punctual and hardworking: arriving between 8:15–8:30 AM every morning, working through the day without breaks, and giving consistent, focused effort.

While Angry Cat isn’t the cheapest option, their quality and work ethic make them worth every penny. The craftsmanship and care they bring to the job are outstanding.
